The self-supporting
curved roof concept

The self-supporting curved roof system is based on the development of the theory of the isostatic arch with its ends joined by a brace. The main feature of these roofs is that, similar to any braced arch, only vertical forces are transmitted to the support structure, since the braces absorb the horizontal impulses.

The self-supporting curved roof is a closure or membrane-type roof that evenly distributes the received stresses.
